1. Main features

1.1

One pill (1600 mg) of ActiVet® contains the following active substances: Methylsulfonylmethane - MSM (Source of natural sulfur) 320 mg; D-Glucosamine HCL 300 mg; Vitamin Ester C® 80 mg; Shark Cartilage Chondroitin 66 mg; Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract 20 mg. One pill (3200 mg) of ActiVet®20 contains the following active substances: Methylsulfonylmethane - MSM (Source of natural sulfur) 640 mg ; D-Glucosamine HCL 600 mg; Vitamin Ester C® 160 mg; Shark Cartilage Chondroitin 132 mg; Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract 40 mg.

ActiVET® and ActiVET® 20 pills are round and flat, light beige in color, with a light and pleasant aroma and taste for dogs. The pills can be with or without a separating line in the middle.

ActiVET® pills are packed in the appropriate volume plastic bags containing 90 pills each. ActiVET®20 pills are packed in the appropriate volume plastic bags containing 100 pills or 240 pills each.

Storage temperature ±0°C to +25°C. Relative humidity of not more than 75%.

Period of validity – 26 months from the date of manufacture.

2. ActiVET® and ActiVET® 20 pharmacological properties

Pharmacological properties determined by active substances.
2.1

Methylsulfonylmethane (MSM) – is a natural source of organic sulfur. MSM is the main building block of connective tissue. MSM promotes intracellular metabolism, activates and ensures synergetic effectiveness of the other components.
2.2

D-Glucosamine HCL is necessary for the recovery of joint surfaces and for the synthesis of collagen, prostaglandin and Hyaluronic acid.
2.3

Vitamin Ester C® - a patented form of vitamin C, an antioxidant with a prolonged effect, pH neutral (does not damage enamel, does not irritate digestive tract mucosa), period of withdrawal from the body – no less than 24 hours.
2.4

Shark Cartilage Chondroitin strengthens the effect of D-Glucosamine HCL, provides the specific amount of liquid necessary to joints (lubricates the joint).
2.5

Boswellia (Boswellia serrata) 65% extract is a natural anti-inflammatory agent with painkilling properties. It also improves blood circulation.

3. ActiVET® and ActiVET® 20 use

3.1

ActiVet® and ActiVet®20 - a preparation for dogs to assist in maintaining joint functions, for prophylactic purposes of traumatic, degenerative and rheumatic diseases and also for therapy.
3.2

ActiVet® (1600mg) usage:
- — Weight up to 10 kg — 1 pill per day
- — Weight from 10 to 20 kg — 2 pills per day
- — Weight from 20 to 30 kg — 3 pills per day
- — Weight from 30 to 40 kg — 4 pills per day
- — Weight over 40 kg — 5 pills per day

ActiVet® 20 (3200 mg) usage:

— Weight up to 10 kg — 1/2 a pill per day
— Weight from 10 to 20 kg — 1 pill per day
— Weight from 20 to 40 kg — 2 pills per day
— Weight from 40 to 60 kg — 3 pills per day
— Weight over 60 kg — 5 pills per day

3.3

A double dose is recommended for the first 7 days. To obtain optimal results the preparation must be used for at least 45 days. This preparation must be fed 2-3 times a year to dogs with chronic joint issues, a trend of joint traumatism and older animals. Continuous feeding must be carried out in serious illness cases.
ActiVet® and ActiVet®20 can be used in addition to and with other symptomatic preparations.
