1. Main features

    One capsule of Uro-Ursi® contains the following active substances: Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) extract 98 mg; Vitamin Ester C® 91 mg; Cranberry (Fructus Oxycocci) extract 79 mg.
  • 1.2
    Uro-Ursi® - a white capsule containing reddish powder with the flavor of bearberries and cranberries.
  • 1.3
    Uro-Ursi® capsules are packed in the appropriate volume plastic cups containing 14 or 90 capsules each.
  • 1.4
    Storage temperature ±0°C to +25°C. Relative humidity of not more than 75%.
  • 1.5
    Period of validity – 26 months from the date of manufacture.

2. Uro-Ursi ® pharmacological properties

  • Pharmacological properties determined by active substances.

    Bearberry (Arctostaphylos uva-ursi) extract. Bearberry leaves contain a high concentration of arbutin glycoside (5-15%) and methyl arbutin (4%), which in the process of body hydrolysis cleaves the free hydroquinone. Hydroquinone causes the antiseptic activity in the urinary tract and reduces inflammation. Ursolic acid and isoquercetin cause the diuretic effect of medium level. Antiseptic, diuretic and antimicrobial activities results in the removal of pathogenic micro-organisms and inflammatory products from the urinary system. The antispasmodic effect of bearberry is an important factor in the prevention of urinary tract disease.

    Cranberry (Fructus Oxycoccus) extract. Cranberries contain organic acids, pectin and glycoside vaccinine. Hippuric acid creates antimicrobial effect using the method of delaying the production ability of microorganism adhesion. It is necessary to microorganisms to be able to attach to the urinary tract epithelium. Vitamin C and organic acids (hippuric acid) gives the acidifying effect, thus preventing the appearance of insoluble calcium and phosphorus compounds. Vitamin Ester С®.

    Vitamin Ester С®. A new patented pH neutral vitamin C in the form of calcium ascorbate; contains vitamin C natural metabolites, which activate vitamin C molecules and stimulate intake (absorption?). Vitamin Ester С® is quickly assimilated, maintaining its activity in the body (including leukocytes) for 24 hours. Using vitamin Ester С® it does not irritate mucous membranes of the digestive tract. It has no negative effects on tooth enamel.

Uro-Ursi ® use

    Uro-Ursi® is used as an antiseptic with an easy diuretic effect to treat and prevent urinary tract infectious diseases; it alters the pH balance of urine - acidifying it, thus stimulating stone (sand) removal from the urethra and stops their further formation. Uro-Ursi® is particularly recommended for castrated, sterilized, sedentary animals with increased body weight.

    Uro-Ursi® usage:
    • — cats and dogs weighting up to 10 kg — 1 capsule per day
    • — dogs weighting up to 20 kg — 2 capsules per day
